June Favorites

Uncategorized

June has been horrible to my skin. From the stress of going  on vacation at the beach to the inconsistent sleep schedule during Ramadan, my face  has been feeling it. I can honestly say it’s been tough to get my skin to cooperate. It’s been dull, bumpy and honestly lackluster. Now I really understand the importance of water, sleep and a good facial routine.

Face-Clarisonic

I know I sound like a broken record but I really stand by my Clarisonic. It’s a game changer for my skin. I didn’t bring it with me to San Diego and I instantly regretted it. Once I came back, my skin was irritated and had formed small bumps. I’ve been using it consistently since I’ve been back and my skin has improved a lot!

Face- Mario Badescu Facial Spray

I’ve been trying a new rose water recently. I’ve heard so much about the Mario Badescu skin care line that I knew I’d have to try the rose water.

Every night after I’ve cleansed and before I moisturize, I spray a little bit of the a facial spray. The scent is crisp and smells a bit like cucumbers and rose water. I haven’t honestly noticed a huge difference because I’ve simply been spraying it on, but I do notice that my skin is refreshed and hydrated for a long time after using the spray.

Face- Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation in color 4

The weather in Texas has been dreadful. It’s rotating between rain and scorching heat. I’ve had moments where I’ve stepped outside and was drenched in humid sticky air. It’s not fun at all.

Given this horrible heat in mind, I didn’t want to cake my face with a liquid foundation. I’ve kept my routine fairly simple this month with a BB cream (that I ended up not liking) and this foundation powder that I used as a setting powder.

Mascara- Urban Decay Perversion  & Subversion

I just want to make it official by saying I love whoever invented an eyelash/mascara primer. I’ve used the Clinique one previously, and while it worked well, it didn’t have a complementary mascara to go with it.

Subversion works well to lengthen and thicken my flimsy lashes while Perversion gives them the signature dark UD look. Each lash becomes coated with a dark layer that works well to cover the primer.

My lashes look incredible!

Lips- Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glacé

This precious thing came in my Sephora Beauty box back in May. I cannot stress to you how beautiful and natural this color is. It’s a “dusty mauve” color and complements  olive and tanned skin tones very well. Plus it’s matte so you can wear it everywhere!
